A dog-human relationship never fails to fascinate us. Why? It is because there is something extraordinary about this bond. Well, a dog’s love for us is incomprehensible, and sometimes, the loyalty of this animal to us is beyond our understanding.
There are a lot of stories making rounds on the internet about dogs waiting for weeks for their dead owners. Whenever we hear those stories, our hearts skip a beat for a while and weep silently. Do we even deserve that loyalty from our four-legged animals?
Moose beside an empty hospital bed
An animal shelter named Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey posted a photo of a dog last June 19. The photo caught a lot of attention as a dog can be seen standing right next to an empty hospital bed. By merely looking at the picture, we can infer that someone close to that dog died.
The dog is a three-year-old Lab mix named Moose. His owner died of cancer, and he has no choice but to go back to the shelter. The shelter said that he is having a hard time accepting the truth, so they are trying everything to find a family that will welcome him home.
Welcome to a new home, Moose!
As soon as the photo made rounds online, several people sent their interest to adopt Moose. Within a few days, he finally got his new home to live and new people to love! Adopting dogs is a simple act of extending kindness to these animals.
Helping has never been a hard thing to do if our hearts want it. Start to take off and sail the wonderful journey of finding ways to reach for dogs like Moose and make them happy again. After all, dogs have saved humans in many ways.
